GalChimia sponsors the IV Iberian Carbohydrate Meeting, organized by the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the Portuguese Chemistry Society. This event covers aspects of chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biotechnology and medical applications of carbohydrates. The programme includes more than 20 plenary lectures and conferences.

| May 27th, 2008 Innovation Award for GalChimia |

GalChimia has been awarded in the Innovation category of the IV Edition of Transnational Awards for Enterprise Excellence, organized by the Businessmen Confederation of Ourense in collaboration with similars organizations from the rest of Galician regions.
The award ceremony will be held on next June 5th at 20:00 in the Auditorium of Ourense.
