How can we say? There were so many interesting reviews in August that simply we could not make our mind. So let’s read them all. The first by Menéndez et al. covers the advances in chemistry of tetrahydroquinolines.
The second review, by Fustero and Simón-Fuentes, covers the even more interesting pyrazoles, and includes not only synthesis but also functionalization.
The third review, by Hirata and Narumiya, is about the prostanoid receptors. The efforts to obtain agonists and antagonists for these receptors have also been reviewed recently, but any new review is welcomed.
In the fourth review, Marson talks about the H4 receptor, the youngest member of the Histamine receptors family discovered ten years ago.
Finally, the review by Barreiro et al. is a nice work on a top-rated subject in medicinal chemistry, methylation and its effects. Read everything about the magic methyl effect!
